We all spend thousands of dollars on setting up of jumbo speakers to get surround sound, but at the cost of comfort. One of the world’s leading gaming peripheral makers, Razer has come up with their brand new gaming handset exclusively for Xbox 360®. Now, greedy gamers like us, got the perfect gaming headset in the form of Razer Chimaera 5.1. The company claims that the headset supports 5.1 Channel Dolby® for surround sound .Xbox fanboys can enjoy uninterrupted gaming sessions without worrying about battery life. Teammates can now connect 4 Razer base stations at the same point of time for power packed gaming sessions. Expect this headset to be available by April 2011 @ US $199.99 / EU €199.99. The only negative I found is the non-availability for PS3, after all the company can’t ignore 47.9 million strong ps3 gamers.
Some of the highlights of Razer Chimaera 5.1
- 5.1 Channel Dolby® surround sound
- 5.8 GHz interference-free wireless headset (up to 33ft / 10m receiving range)
